2024 Riverside Vineyard Chardonnay
Isenhower’s first Chardonnay ever! Grapes were sourced from Riverside Vineyard located in Oregon’s McMinnville AVA, part of the Willamette Valley.
Tasting notes
Light golden yellow hue. Aromas of grated lemon skin, pink lady apple, white peach, mango skin, and hints of creamy, fresh and floral oak notes. 3% Viognier blended in for texture and elevated aromas.
Production notes
Fermentation: Eight clones of Chardonnay grapes were hand-picked, gently pressed whole cluster to tank, settled out overnight, and barreled down to two neutral 500-liter French oak puncheons. Inoculated with organic Saccharomyces uvarum and fermented to dryness. After primary fermentation completed, an organic malo-lactic bacteria species that does not create diacetyl was added.
Élevage: The Chardonnay was barrel stirred five times prior to racking to tank in Februray 2025 for cold and heat stablization. 3% Viognier was blended in. Cross-flow filtered, then sterile filtered on the bottling line.
