Dark red hue. Vibrant aromas of red plums, currants, and cranberries - very pretty and tight. Mouth is lively and fresh with flavors that mirror the aromas. The mouthfeel is full of red plum and curant flavors and is seamless, fresh, and clean. Tannins are linear, long, and perfect. Wonderful balance and delicious!
Production notes
Fermentation: 100% hand-harvested and hand-sorted fruit. Fermented with a variety of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Punched down twice daily with three pump-overs. Pressed at dryness.
Élevage: 21 months in 33% new 300 L French oak barrels (Mercurery and Remond)

The 2021 Isenhower Wild Thyme Red Wine from the Columbia Valley is a beautifully composed blend of 43% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot. It displays a radiant medium ruby-garnet core that fades to a soft pink rim. The nose is inviting and complex, offering layers of ripe blueberries, macerated strawberries, and spiced plum, interwoven with notes of star anise, cedar shavings, and a hint of black licorice. The palate is smooth and balanced, with supple tannins and a medium-bodied frame that carries flavors of dark cherries, baking spice, and dried thyme. A gentle earthiness lingers, adding depth, while the finish is infused with blue fruit and warm spice. 296 cases made.
