The 2018 Walla Walla Valley Viognier is 100% Viognier from Francisca's Vineyard.  2018 is the first year we have fermented Viognier in Acacia puncheons.  Acacia is very dense European Black Locust wood.  The puncheons are made the same way as oak barrels are but Acacia does not contribute oak flavors to the wine.

Tasting notes

The Viognier is limpid yellow with a hint of green hue.  The aromas are of honeysuckle, peaches, lemongrass and savory dried sage.  The mouthfeel is rich and full of sweet stone fruit, Asian pear, and lemongrass.  The perfect wine to enjoy on a hot summer day!
